Homestand Notes: What’s happening at Progressive Field this weekend, next week

The Indians return home for seven games beginning tonight against the White Sox and continuing next week with four against Minnesota. Here’s what’s going on at the ballpark:

Friday, May 2 vs. White Sox @ 7:05PM

*ALL GATES: OPEN at 5:30PM (Gate C/East Pedestrian Bridge open at 4:30PM)

Sugardale Dollar Dog Night: Come out to Progressive Field and enjoy Sugardale Dollar Dog Night, one of 13 during 2014. Hot dogs are only $1 in the ballpark all evening.

Brohio:Newly elected Brohio Governor Adam Gockowski will lead the charge from Brohio, in Section 117, at Progressive Field for all Friday and Saturday games. A new T-shirt design is available for all fans purchasing tickets in Brohio in 2014. More information and tickets are available at Indians.com/Brohio.

50/50 Raffle:The Indians have introduced an all-new 50/50 Raffle at Progressive Field for Friday, Saturday and Sunday home games in 2014. The raffle will support Cleveland Indians Charities in its mission to provide baseball and softball opportunities to the underprivileged youth of Cleveland.

To participate, fans can simply visit a 50/50 Raffle kiosk at a Friday, Saturday or Sunday home game. The winner will be announced at the ballpark, and fans can check back here to confirm daily winners. The Opening Day winner took home over $6,500!

Terrace Club: The Terrace Club is open to the public in 2014, and fans can make reservations by visiting OpenTable.com and searching for the Terrace Club.

Hot Chelle Rae: The pop act will throw out a ceremonial first pitch before performing at PlayhouseSquare’s Dazzle the District event later on Friday night.

Saturday, May 3 vs. White Sox @ 6:05PM

Orel Hershiser bobblehead, courtesy of Meritech: 10,000 fans will receive this collector’s item depicting the classic pitching motion of “The Bulldog,” who pitched for the Tribe from 1995-1997.

KeyBank Kids Fun Day:Each remaining Sunday home game (except for Sept. 29) will feature KeyBank Kids Fun Days. Activities include a new SportsTime Ohio show hosted by Katie Witham and featuring Indians players, Jungle Terry and more; and the Kids Clubhouse, featuring the Rookie Suite presented by University Hospitals and Slugger’s Sandlot presented by KeyBank.

Kids Run the Bases Presented by Cleveland Clinic Children’s:Young Tribe fans will have the opportunity to run around the bases like their favorite players. All kids (12 & Under) can stay immediately after the game to take part, and will receive a giveaway item from Cleveland Clinic Children’s when they’re finished.

Tribe Reporter for a Day, presented by The Plain Dealer/Northeast Ohio Media Group: A group of 25 area high schoolers will tour the ballpark, learn about the club’s social media efforts, and sit in on Terry Francona’s daily media availability, plus ask players questions.
